We were asked by market research company Ipsos Mori to illustrate various ways in which a vaccine can be administered for a pharmaceutical client.
We initially considered a simple black and white style for the illustrations, as these could easily have been re-used in a variety of infographic material, either aimed at patients or medical professionals.
The client however preferred a more detailed, realistic style, with the option to pare it down if needed.
We kept the style friendly and approachable, while ensuring a high degree of accuracy in the depiction of the medical devices.
Fear of needles is common, so it was important to soften corners and edges to give syringes a less scary appearance.
