Create Refresh was a campaign to fight Article 13 and censoring content filters.
We were asked to join their creators’ network and produce short 2D animations showing what the internet would look like if Article 13 came to pass.
We created a robot character to embody Article 13, mindlessly censoring content it thinks infringes on copyright.
The colorful shapes that represent the heart of content creation are blacked out by a filter which may not be able to detect whether something is within the realm of fair use.
